Influential Members of Senate Aging and Finance Committees Discuss Top Health Care Reform Issues & Forecast Health Care Reform Priorities for 109th Congress

What:   As the first event in his 2006 Ceasefire on Health Care, former Senator John Breaux will moderate a discussion on health care reform with Senator Gordon Smith (R-OR) and Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), both key members of the Senate Finance and Special Aging Committees. During the event led by Senator Breaux, Senators Lincoln and Smith will exchange ideas and provide insight into the top health care reform issues of the 109th Congress, including: the effect of the uninsured on small businesses, health information technology, long term care, and Medicaid and SCHIP reauthorization.

The discussion is held in conjunction with the CHRISTUS Health & Dubuis Health System Advocacy Education Forum. The series is made possible by a grant from Pfizer Inc.
